Where are you from?

Upper Arlington, OH.

If you could be a member of any band (past or present), which band and what band member would you be? Why?

Silverchair or No Doubt because I love how different their music was for the time. Especially No Doubt because although grunge music was having its time in the 90s, the Ska Punk band still found a way to be successful and find they place despite being different.

If you could open for any musician or band, who would it be?

Silverchair because their concerts were so wild and they often changed their songs to make them more interesting.

What decade does your band belong in?

90s. I like to experiment with live instruments and bizarre chord progressions.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what is one album you’d be happy to have with you?

“Freakshow” by Siverchair.

What’s the worst gig you’ve ever played? Best gig? Is Instaband your first gig?

The best gig was when I performed at Wonderball at the Columbus Museum of Art. The worst was when I entered a music competition and I was the only one playing non-classical music… I was pretty out of place (I still got second place though).

What’s your writing process like?

I normally think of lyrics or hear people say things that are interesting to me and I write them down. That night, I sit in my basement with tea and come up with some music and go back through the notes I’ve written and put them together.

Any fun facts?

I run my own open mic night.
